Three years after I det glimrande mörkrets djup, Sorhin returned with their second and final full-length, Apokalypsens ängel, originally released in 2000. Recorded at Abyss Studio in January 1999, the album saw the band developing their unmistakable Swedish black metal sound into something more expansive, melancholic and misanthropic.

Built upon the raw foundations of their earlier material, Apokalypsens ängel unfolds through haunting melodies and even more unmistakable guitar riffing, culminating in some of Sorhin’s most memorable and imposing material.

A landmark of late-90s Swedish black metal, Apokalypsens ängel remains the final full-length statement from a band that helped define the darker side of Sweden’s underground.
